Mrs. Nettie Branch Gwyn

Mrs. Mary Nettie Branch Gwyn, age 86, of Dobson, NC passed away on Monday December 26, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Surry Co. on May 10, 1925 to the late Wesley and Sara Cave Branch. She was a member of Fisher River Primitive Baptist Church and had worked at Spencer in Mt. Airy for over thirty five years. Surviving is her husband Arlis Gwyn of the home; four step children Patrick Gwyn of Mt. Airy, Bruce Gwyn of Winston Salem, Jeffery Gwyn of Gainesville, Ga, Vanessa Simms of Dallas, Texas; two sisters-in-law Cassie Branch of Walkertown, Pat Cain of Hope Mills. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters Vinnie Pennix, Loree Pennix, and Lillie Mae Payne Barrett; two brothers Gurney Branch and Irvin Branch.
A graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday December 30, 2011 in the cemetery of Fisher River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Tony White. There are no formal services held at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Gwyn family.
