Mrs. Norma Cole Stockner

Mrs. Norma Cole Stockner, age 88, of Fancy Gap, Va, passed away Sunday, February 05, 2017, at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Stockner was born in Carroll County on May 10, 1928 to Calvin and Viola Quesenberry Cole. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. Those who will always cherish her memory are her husband, Ike Stockner; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jim Burnette; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Janet Semones; a grandson; Matthew Burnette; step grandchildren, Ronald Crowder, H. T. Crowder and Darryl Crowder; step great grandchildren, Ally Crowder , Shannon Crowder and Jared Crowder; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie Snow, Vada Smith, Carol and Odell Sumner, Sharon and Mike McFarland and Joyce Hein; and a brother and sister-in-law, Dewey and Mary Cole. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stockner was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Burnette; a sister, Pearl Hein, and brothers, Claude Cole and Lonnie Cole. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Ricky Spencer. Burial will follow in the Heath Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
