Mrs. Okie Marie Weiss, age 75 of Patrick Springs, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Martinsville. She was born in Buchanan County, West Virginia on March 16, 1934 to the late Robert and Maudie Little. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weiss was preceded in death by a brother, Rush Little. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Mrs. Weiss is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bazzle and Diane Weiss of Mississippi and Wiley and Carrie Weiss of Axton; one daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla Lynn and Jeff Nehring of Patrick Springs; six grandchildren, Cloy Nehring, Kaitlin Nehring, Caroline Nehring, Matt Weiss, Tony Weiss and Angie Soyars; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Weiss, Jeremy Gunter, Todd Gunter, Christopher Gunter and Emerie Weiss; four sisters, Faye Estep and Anna Mae Estep, both of Axton, Elizabeth Padgett of Patrick Springs and Gladys Weiss of Woolwine; and three brothers, Estel Little and Wade Little, both of Patrick Springs, and Earl Little of Axton.
Funeral services for Mrs. Weiss will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Ed Hartman and Rev. Mark Hackler officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
