Mrs. Ollie Mae Joyce

Mrs. Ollie Mae Joyce, age 79 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at her home. She was born in Patrick County on October 20, 1927 to the late James Will and Sir Ida Mize Sawyers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, George Everett Joyce; two sons, an infant, Harold Leonard Joyce, and Everett Cupper Joyce; and several brothers.
Mrs. Joyce is survived by two daughters, Mary Joyce of Stuart and Shirley Littles, and husband, Estel of Patrick Springs; one son Jimmy Joyce, and wife, Evelyn, of Stuart; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Curtis Sawyers of Stuart and Richard Sawyers of Bassett.
Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder John Wingfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Foley Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and at other times at the home of her son, Jimmy Joyce.
