Mrs. Opal Lundy Coe

Mrs. Opal Lundy Coe, age 85, passed away on Sunday April 7, 2013. She was born in Surry County on December 27, 1927 to the late Cornelius Gaither Lundy and the late Pearl Perry Lundy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Holmes. She was a member of the Stony Knoll United Methodist Church. Surviving is her husband of over 66 years Victor H. Coe of the home; one daughter and son-in-law Judy and James Blythe of Mt. Airy; two grandchildren Jamie L. Blythe of Winston Salem, David W. and Venida Blythe of Front Royal, VA; two great grandchildren Kaesi Blythe and Jacob Blythe; one brother Arlie Lundy of Clemmons, NC. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Stony Knoll United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Lawton will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7 P.M. until 9 P.M. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Stony Knoll United Methodist Church Building Fund C/O Kay Crouse, 105 Stratford Place, Dobson, NC 27017, or to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd. Dobson, NC 27017
