Mrs. Opal Boyd Gregory

Mrs. Opal Boyd Gregory, age 81 of Stuart, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 27, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Floyd Co. on July 6, 1935 to the late Grover Boyd and Nancy Burnette Boyd. She had retired from Phillip Morris Tobacco Co. in Richmond after 37 years. Since her retirement she loved traveling with her husband, Spencer. Together they visited every state in the Continental U.S and especially loved traveling to Alaska. She loved reading and writing in her journals.

Surviving are her husband, Spencer M. Gregory of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Shona and Jerry Helms of Stuart; two step sons, Lawrence Troy Gregory of Nags Head, NC, James Lee Gregory of Savannah, GA; three grandchildren, Rocky Helms and wife, Amy, Summer Pike and husband, Scott, Dawn Quesinberry and husband, Lee; three step grandchildren, Alexandra Gregory, Danielle Gregory, Damian Gregory; 12 great grandchildren; and one step great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Dave Henry officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
