Mrs. Opal Boyd Phillips

Mrs. Opal Phillips, age 88 of Stuart, passed away Monday, September 1, 2008 at Blue Ridge Nursing Center. She was born in Floyd County, Virginia on October 14, 1919 to the late John and Ellen Belcher Boyd. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her husband, Sam Phillips and ten brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a son, Steve Phillips of Stuart, Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 2:00pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Stuart cemetery.
