Mrs. Orene Lawson Boothe

Mrs. Orene Lawson Boothe, age 93, of Stuart passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Sovah Health of Martinsville. She was born in Patrick County on August 24, 1924 to the late Sam Lawson and Lillie Cannaday Lawson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Boothe; one son-in-law, Bobby Shelton; two sisters, Inez Foley, Gladys Hall; and two brothers, Vernon and Calvin Lawson. She had retired from Bassett Chair and was a member of New Hope Church of the Brethren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.

Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Carol and Charlie Fain of Stuart, Opal Shelton of Stuart; one son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Judy Boothe of Stuart; three grandchildren, Steven Boothe, Sharon Gravely, Jackie Fain; two great grandchildren, Caleb Gravely, Bailey Fain; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Church of the Brethren with Pastor Rick Randall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
