Mrs. Ossie Iona Tickle Terrell

Mrs. Ossie Iona Tickle Terrell, 93, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was a homemaker and was a member of Laurel Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Terrell was born in Surry County on December 8, 1918 to the late Joseph Franklin and Sadie Joyce Boles. She is survived by a daughter, Geraldine Gardner of Mt. Airy; three grandchildren and spouses, Kenneth Dale Gardner of Lowgap, Penny Gail and Ray Flippen, Jr. of Mt. Airy, Jill and Pete Hubbard, Jr. of Ararat, VA; two great grandchildren, Colby and Riley Hubbard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Terrell was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Terrell; a son, Danny Ray Tickle; a son-in-law, Jerry Arnold Gardner two sisters, Anna Jones, Mary Green; a brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Vie Boles. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Korners Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Gary Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy from 10:00 AM until time to go to the cemetery for the service.
