Mrs. Othel Virginia Nunn Goins

Mrs. Othel Virginia Nunn Goins, age 80 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Goins was born in Patrick County on April 20, 1936 to Roy and Lucy Gammons Nunn. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses, Charles Goins, Dale and Darlene Goins, Terry Goins, Darin Goins, Brian Goins, Debbie and Glenn Davis, Denise Slate all of Mt. Airy; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; two sisters, Doris Williams and Annie Mae Goad; special friends, Danny Pack, Marsha Collins and Sissy Chandler; special pets, Lucky-D and Miss Kitty. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goins was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Charles Goins; her step mother, Dorothy Nunn; a sister, Thelma Martin; brothers, Lewis Nunn and Ray Nunn. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Goins Family Cemetery with Rev. Darren Slate and Rev. Scotty Bullins officiating.
