Mrs. Patricia "Patty" Ann Plank Fowler

Patricia (Patty) Ann Plank Fowler, 60, of 201 Union Cross Road, Dobson, NC, crossed over to the other side of the rainbow and into heaven's gate on May 20, 2015, due to complications following a motor vehicle accident. Ms. Fowler was born on January 2, 1955, in Morehead, Kentucky, to the late Sam and Edna Plank. Ms. Fowler was retired from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture where she worked as a tobacco grader as long as her health permitted. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, and friend to all who knew her. She married Tony Curtis Fowler on April 10, 1982. She is survived by the love of her life Alexis Fowler Tran of the home. Also surviving are: a daughter Melanie (Mike) Wray of Salem, VA, a granddaughter Savanna Bowling of Salem, VA, adopted son Michael (Michelle) Tran of State Road, NC, brothers Vincent (Madge) Plank, Addie (Heather) Plank, Curt (Ollie) Plank, Lonnie (Geraldine) Plank, Jerry (Valerie) Plank, Roger (Sylvia) Plank, Willis Plank all of Morehead, KY, Ervin Plank of Roanoke, VA, sisters Sylvia (William) Boone of Salem, VA, and Christine (Robert) Wagoner of Morehead, KY. In addition to her parents, Ms. Fowler was preceded in death by four brothers: Wilford, Charles, Jackie, and Wilburn. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM at Fairview Baptist Church in Dobson, NC, on Saturday May 23, 2015, with the body lying in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
