Mrs. Patricia Ann Rorrer Profitt

Mrs. Patricia Ann Rorrer Profitt, age 94 of Stuart, passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on August 10, 1918 to the late Gabriel Abram Rorrer and Texas Williams Rorrer. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Profitt was preceded in death by her husband, James Glen Profitt; six brothers; and four sisters. She was a longtime member at Sycamore Baptist Church and retired from J.P. Stevens with 20 years service. She was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and member of the community.
Mrs. Profitt is survived by one son, David Profitt of Monroe, North Carolina; two daughters, Christene Comer of Collinsville and Phyllis Edmonds of Charleston, South Carolina; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Profitt will be held Monday, January 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Sycamore Baptist Church in Stuart with Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
