Mrs. Peggy Jean Edwards Crawford

Mrs. Peggy Jean Edwards Crawford, 74, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016. She was born in Surry County on September 2, 1942 to the late Foy Lee and Stella Mayes Edwards. Mrs. Crawford retired from Henredon Furniture and was a faithful member of Ladonia Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Denise Johnson; a granddaughter, Robin Deanne Barnette; three great grandchildren, Madison Smith, Isabelle Smith and Carter Wayne Johnson; a sister, Celeste Edwards Hart; two nieces, Lisa Overly and husband, Jesse, Michele Holmes and husband, Ted; two nephews, Edwin Hart and fiancée, Dovie Minix, and Matt Hart and wife, Amanda . In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Crawford and a grandson, Billy Wayne Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Ladonia Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
