Mrs. Rachel Pierce Cox

Mrs. Rachel Pierce Cox, age 91 of Woolwine passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at RJ Reynolds Patrick County Memorial Hospital in Stuart. She was born in High Point, North Carolina on September 27, 1916 to the late Neumi and Mamie Pierce. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Cox and several brothers and sisters. She was a member of Ross Harbour United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Cox is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Sue Cox of Woolwine and David Cox of High Point; 4 grandchildren, Kenny and Michael Weber, Angela Dalton, and husband, Mark, and Melissa Cox; 1 step-grandchild, Joey Greer; 3 great-grandchildren, Meghan, Katie and Sarah Dalton; 2 step great-grandchildren, Taylor and Breanna Greer; one sister, Pauline "Billie" Oheim of Lafayette, Louisiana; and one sister-in-law, Winifred Roberson of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cox will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Ross Harbour United Methodist Church with Pastor Jack Hyde and Pastor Delmas Rorrer officiating. Burial will follow in the Cox Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
