Mrs. Rachel M. Fagg

Mrs. Rachel M. Fagg, age 91 of Danbury, North Carolina passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the Pioneer Community Hospital of Stokes in Danbury. She was born in Stokes County on February 20, 1920 to the late Joseph and Clemmie Joyce Martin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fagg was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Fagg, and a brother, Raymond "Coot" Martin. She was retired with 20 years of service from J.P. Stevens Westfield and Stuart Plants, and was a longtime member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Walnut Cove, North Carolina.
Mrs. Fagg is survived by one daughter, Ruth A Spencer of Danbury; one step-daughter, Betty S. Tickles of High Point, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Becky Hickman, Vickie Bullins, Michael Spencer and Shannon Everett; five great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Coy Martin of Danbury.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fagg will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Snow Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of the arrangements.
