Mrs. Rachel Hatcher Jones

Mrs. Rachel Hatcher Jones, age 100, of Dobson, NC passed away on Wednesday November 18, 2015 peacefully at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Patrick Co. to the late John W. and Myrtle Turner Hatcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Clyde Jones; two brothers, John Fred Hatcher and Turner David Hatcher; and one nephew John Earl Hatcher. She was retired from Spencers Hosiery, and owned several local laundromats. She was of the Methodist faith. Surviving is her daughter Darlene Jones Hutchins of Dobson; two granddaughters, Kristin Leigh Hutchins of Boynton Beach, FL. and Lindsay Brooke Hutchins of Denver, CO.; sister Mrs. Jamie Roberson of Mooresville, NC; one niece, Karen Burnette and husband Bruce of Mooresville, NC; two great nieces, Amy and Sarah Burnette of Mooresville, NC; and one nephew, William Hatcher of Winston Salem, NC. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, NC, with burial to follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. Rev. Jeff Wall and Rev. Harry Sherill will conduct the services. The family will receive friends, Friday November 20, 2015 from 12:00 noon until the time of her service at 1:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorial may be made to the Joan & Howard Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
