Mrs. Reba Gayle Shepherd Smith

Mrs. Reba Gayle Shepherd Smith, age 57 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. She was born in High Point, North Carolina on September 11, 1956 to the late Mildred Lott and Edgar Shepherd. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a son, Eric Payne. She was a member of Stuart Presbyterian Church and had worked for The Enterprise.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Danny Smith of the home; a granddaughter, Taylor Dawn Payne of Stuart; two sisters, Fairlee Hays of Thomasville, North Carolina and Mary Buchholz of West Palm Beach, Florida; one brother, Allen Shepherd of Bradenton, Florida; three nieces, Christy Mullins, Tonya Holt and Dana Parham; and a daughter-in-law.
Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Stuart Presbyterian Church with Pastor Danny Redman officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the services at Stuart Presbyterian Church.
