Mrs. Rebecca Jane "Becky" Clifton Turman

Mrs. Rebecca Jane “Becky” Clifton Turman, age 81 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. She was born in Carroll County on April 4, 1935 to the late Elder Benny Clifton and Edrie Ruth Terry Clifton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty C. Terry.

Mrs. Turman is survived by her husband, Golden Douglas Turman of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and David Flake of Summerville, South Carolina; two sons and daughters-in-law, Neil Douglas and Theresa Turman of Waxhaw, North Carolina, Clifton Golden and Sandra Turman of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Judy Poindexter of Martinsville and Carol Cruise of Ridgeway.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at New Dan River Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Alan Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bell Spur Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
