Mrs. Rosalie Medley Brown

Mrs. Rosalie Medley Brown, age 83, of Dobson, NC passed away on Wednesday afternoon November 12, 2014 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born in Surry Co. on September 16, 1931 to the late Curtis Aaron Medley and the late Ima Etta Parsons Medley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Wilson Brown. Mrs. Brown was a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband Claude Wilson Brown of the home; one son and daughter-in-law Bobby and Denise Brown of Dobson; four grandchildren Melissa Hutchens, Kevin Brown, Chris Johnson, Heather Johnson; four great grandchildren Madison Hutchens, Kara Hutchens, Devin Brown, Mary Kenna Johnson Coley; one sister Annie Marie Johnson of Jonesville. Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mountain Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening at Moody-Davis Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, NC 27017. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staffs at Dunmore Plantation and to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home; and, also to Rhonda Woods for the love and care given to their loved one.
