Mrs. Rosellen "Rosie" Staples

Mrs. Rosellen "Rosie" Staples, 62, of Smyrna, died Thursday, July 18. 2013, at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Morehead City. Rosie worked as a registered nurse at Forsyth Memorial Hospital, Carteret General Hospital, and Snug Harbor. She loved being at the beach and on the water. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Clayton Doss of the home; a son, Bradley Doss and fiancé Delynn of Yuma, AZ; two grandchildren, Samantha Cantrell, and Darcie Slovacek; one great granddaughter,; two brothers, Watt Staples, and his wife, Billie Raleigh, NC, and William Staples and wife Jeanette of Alabama; six nieces, one nephew, and her special angel on earth, Betsy Howell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Maryellen Staples. A memorial service will be held Saturday August 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral Chapel of Mount Airy, with Rev. Ronnie Miller officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Crystal Coast Hospice House, PO Box 483, Morehead City, NC 28557.
