Mrs. Rosemary Ann “Rose” Lonergan

Mrs. Rosemary Ann “Rose” Lonergan, 65, of Ararat, NC passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home Friday, February 9, 2018. She was born in Queens, NY December 29, 1952 to the late Francis Xavier and Mary Ann Gilmartin Pflaum. Mrs. Lonergan was a caregiver and a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Ararat, NC. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, always showing strength through her faith in God. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Bridget Snow; sons, Patrick Lonergan, Brian Watson and wife, Dana, and Cameron Watson; grandchildren, Tiffany Watson, Ella Watson, Luke Watson and Elena Rose Snow; a sister, Virginia Thaxter; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Carol Turso; special friends, Alison Bledsoe, Linda Gravely and a host of others; as well as her pastor, Josh Sechrist and his family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lonergan was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Patrick Lonergan; and sister, Patricia Papagiannakis. The children would like to express their deepest appreciation to all the church family from Fellowship Baptist Church, neighbors and friends for helping through visits, bringing food, and especially the many prayers during their mother’s sickness. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Sechrist officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
