Mrs. Ruby Mae Moon Ellison

Mrs. Ruby Mae Moon Ellison, age 70 of Patrick Springs passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born in Raleigh, West Virginia on January 17, 1938 to the late Earl and Hannah Underwood Moon. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ellison was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Justin and Jordan Alderman, and two sisters, Macel Keffer and Margie Coburn. She was retired from Beckett Burners in Ohio, and was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ellison is survived by her husband, Franklin D. Ellison of the home; three daughters, Sandra K. Bowman and Rebecca Ramsey, both of Spencer and Lola Ann Wells of Martinsville; one son, Robert Ray Miller, Jr. of Ferrum; ten grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Keffer of Travelers Rest, South Carolina.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ellison will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Mark Wright officiating. Burial will be private.
