Mrs. Ruby Spencer Gibson

Mrs. Ruby Spencer Gibson, age 84 of Blacksburg, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 at the Richfield Nursing Center in Salem. She was born in Patrick County on November 14, 1922 to the late Herbert Lee and Maggie Craddock Spencer. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie Rorrer; her second husband, Harold Shough; two brothers, Marion and Moir Spencer; and one sister, Gladys Hall. She attended Dobyns Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Bill Turner of Christiansburg; one son, Donnie Rorrer of Hardy, Virginia; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gibson will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Donnie Conner and Pastor Tom Poland officiating. Burial will follow in Wayside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
