Mrs. Ruby Violet Crotts King

Mrs. Ruby Violet Crotts King, age 75, of Mount Airy, passed away at her home early Saturday morning, August 12, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. King was born in Carroll County, VA on August 24, 1941 to the late Rufus McDonald Crotts and Linie Allen Crotts. Mrs. King was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Mrs. King was retired from the hosiery industry after many years of dedicated service. Mrs. King is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna and Michael Wayne Crotts, Roni Jo McMillian and kids, and Tammy and Ricky Edwards; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne King, and Mike and Robin King; fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Ines Tate; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Wayne King; two sisters, Dora and Edna; and a brother, Walter Crotts. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ted Crotts and Rev. Scotty Bullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Korners Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home from 9:00-11:00 AM.
