Mrs. Ruby Mae Marion Moser

Mrs. Ruby Mae Marion Moser, 80, widow of Mr. Leonard Ray Moser, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on March 12, 1933 to the late George Washington and Emma Lee Woods Marion. Mrs. Moser was retired from JC Penney where she worked many years in retail sales and was a dedicated member of Level Cross United Methodist Church as long as her health permitted. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted children, Vickie and husband Charles Dockery of Dobson; and a son, Jeff and wife Connie Moser of Hillsborough; three beloved grandchildren, Will Dockery, Haley Moser and Adam Moser. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Ann Moser; a grandson, Jon Dockery; two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held a 1 pm on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Level Cross United Methodist Church by Chaplain Ricky Spencer with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 pm at Moody-Davis Funeral Home where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state thirty minutes prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made Level Cross United Methodist Church Maintenance Fund, 4080 Siloam Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for their loving and compassionate care.
