Mrs. Ruby Mosley

Mrs. Ruby Alice Samuel Mosley, 78, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Surry County on November 6, 1938 to the late G. M. “Doc” Samuel and Ethel Elise Williams Samuel. Mrs. Mosley was a longtime member of Holly Springs Baptist Church which she loved and adored. Mrs. Mosley was the owner of Ruby’s Lingerie on Main St. for many years. She is survived by her husband, Roger James Mosley, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Marie Cope and husband Darrell; sons and daughters-in-law, Roger James Mosley, Jr. and wife Patricia, and Dennis Wade Mosley and wife Stephanie; nine grandchildren, Steven Phillips, Allison Hagler, Eric Butera, Ian Butera, Jessica Butera, Kristen Mosley, Perrin Mosley, Nakia Wells, and Josh Mosley; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by a daughter, LaDonna Barthelemy; two sisters, Frankie Ann Monday and Dannie Lawson; and two brothers, George Kelly Samuel and Larry W. Samuel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 14, 2017 at Holly Springs Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wayburn Mosley officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the church 2 hours prior to the service.
