Mrs. Ruby Lee Beasley Pruitt

Mrs. Ruby Lee Beasley Pruitt, 86, of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016, at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living. Mrs. Pruitt was born in Stokes County on August 19, 1930 to the late Arthur and Maggie Lawson Beasley. She was a devoted member of Flat Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church as long as her health allowed. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Randy Fritts; a daughter-in-law, Melodee Pruitt; grandchildren, Kristie Hull and husband Tracy, Todd Pruitt and wife Heather, Justin Pruitt and wife Tiffany; great grandchildren; Casey Hull, Aubrie and Maggie Pruitt, Eli, Emma, Rowan, and Aaron Pruitt; sisters, Annabell Hodges, Dot Brannock; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Beasley, Marvin Beasley and Glenda, Elsie Beasley, Juanita Beasley; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Roland “Jim” Pruitt a son, Dallas R. Pruitt, Jr., brothers, Claude and Clarence Beasley. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Chris Benfield, and Dr. David Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be Twelve Oaks Assisted Living Activity Fund, 1297 Galax Trail, Mt. Airy, NC 27030, or to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
