Mrs. Ruth Ann Vreeland Barry

Mrs. Ruth Ann Vreeland Barry, age 90 of Stuart, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at her home. She was born on February 11, 1921 in Hastings, Nebraska to the late Philip and Aimee Kealy Vreeland. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barry was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Barry; two sons, Philip Barry and Dixon Barry; and two sisters, Phyllis Thomas and Rita Horn. She was a member of the Risen Lord Catholic Church.
Mrs. Barry is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Joe Niedjela of Stuart; one son and daughter-in-law, R. Brian and Connie Barry of Zephyrhills, Florida; two daughters-in-law, Carolyn Bryant of Stuart and Marie-Anna Barry of Germany; eight grandchildren, Kenneth Barry, Kevin Barry, Christopher Barry, Scott Niedjela, Philip Barry, Ralph Barry, Desdemona Barry and Lindsey Bryant; three great-grandchildren, Andersen Barry, Ethan Niedjela and Caleb Niedjela; one brother, Philip Vreeland of Kearney, Nebraska; and a special friend and caretaker, Kim Helms.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the Risen Lord Catholic Church. Burial will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Cemetery. Moody Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
