Mrs. Ruth Catherine Bryant

Mrs. Ruth Catherine Bryant, 86, of Lambsburg, VA, widow of Randolph Paul Bryant, Sr., passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born in Carroll County, VA to the late William Houston and Violet Crotts Hawks. Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker and a faithful member of Fellowship Tabernacle. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Iris Bryant; five grandchildren and their spouses, Derrick and Roga Bryant, Denise Bryant, Angie and Billy Wright, Curtis Bryant and Jimmy and Shannon Bryant; eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and one on the way. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her sons, Randolph Paul Bryant, Jr., Larry Eugene Bryant, and Terry Wayne Bryant; a sister, Gracie Hawks and four brothers, Jim, Oscar, Rush and Darvil Hawks. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Fellowship Tabernacle in Lambsburg, with Rev. David Allred officiating. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
