Mrs. Ruth Evelyn Goad Davis

Mrs. Ruth Evelyn Goad Davis, 72 of Mt. Airy passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on January 5, 1940 to the late Willie and Fannie Mathis Goad. Mrs. Davis was retired from Renfro Corporation and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, James William Davis of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Dani Fleeman of Hendersonville, Sherry Kelly of Waynesboro, VA, Angel and Matt Cutler of Mt. Airy; sons and daughter-in-law, Billy R. Nunn of Draper, VA, Wink Davis and Fiancée Ashley Comer of Mt. Airy; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Teddy Ray Hayes, Judy Haynes all of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Billy Goad. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alex Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Midkiff Family Cemetery.
