Mrs. Ruth Virginia Moore Hutson, age 77, daughter of Sheppard A. Moore, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth Beasley Moore, passed away on March 5, 2017 at the Woltz Hospice Home. She was a homemaker, enjoyed quilting, loved her family, her church, many friends and watching her grandsons play ball. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Ray Hutson to whom she was married for 58 years; her daughter, Karen Delph and husband Steve; her son, Steve Hutson and wife Mary “Cindy”; her grandsons, Justin Delph and wife Erin, Tyler Delph, and Turner Delph; her great grandson, Gibson Delph. Also surviving is a sister, Mary Lynn Dunbar and husband, James “Buck”; a brother, Sheppard Ausby Moore, Jr. and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hutson was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tyrone Holder; a sister-in-law, Anne Collins Moore; and nephews, William Moore, Chad Moore and Bo Jarvis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at White Plains Baptist Church, Mount Airy, by Rev. David Tucker and Rev. Steve Delph. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to White Plains Christian School 609 Old Hwy 601, Mount Airy, NC 27030; or to Wayside Baptist Mission, P. O. Box 1382, Rural Hall, NC 27045. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home for the love and care shown to Mrs. Hutson during her stay there.
