Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" Jean Wilkinson Bailey

Mrs. Sandra “Sandy” Jean Wilkinson Bailey, age 70, of Ferrum, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rocky Mount. She was born in Rochester, New York on July 1, 1947 to the late John Wilkinson and Marie Milanette Wilkinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Merle Jarecke and Douglas Bailey. Mrs. Bailey retired with over 20 years of service with Piedmont Community Services of Rocky Mount.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Lisa Jarecke of Huntersville, North Carolina and Mark Bailey of Ferrum; two grandchildren, James Jarecke and Danielle Jarecke; one brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Brenda Milanette; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at Sycamore Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Harris officiating. Burial will be private. There will be no formal visitation.
