Mrs. Sandra Kay Goad Holder

Mrs. Sandra Kay Goad Holder, age 62 passed away peacefully in the comfort her home on Sunday, December 11, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Grayson County, Virginia on February 11, 1954 to the late Hurley Elton and Nana Gaye Goad. Mrs. Holder was retired from Renfro Corporation as a Quality Control Specialist and enjoyed working by her husband’s side on the family farm. Her life was dedicated to her family and service to her Lord and Savior. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Myra Kay Holder Tucker and Melissa Renae Holder; a sister, Jane Wiggins a son-in-law, Bobby Lee Mathis; and her special dog and friend, Little Daisy; special friends, Lib Bryant, Teresa Hale Angela Harold and Erica Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Freeman Douglas Holder; her beloved daughter Jodie Rebecca Holder; and a sister, Mary Ann King. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday December 15, 2016 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by the Rev. Jimmy McCraw and Dr. Willie Bryant with burial to follow in Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm and other times at her home.
