Mrs. Sarah Frances Marion Cockerham

Mrs. Sarah Frances Marion Cockerham, age 71 of Fancy Gap, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at New River Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Cockerham was born in Surry County on January 17, 1945 to the late Rufus Marion and Emmaline Tate Marion. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Rita Cockerham; granddaughters, Brooke Cockerham, Abbie Cockerham, Ashlyn Cockerham and Kara Stewart; sister, Shirley Marshall, a brother and sister-in-law, Charles Marion and wife Juanita. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Tony Lowe officiating with burial to follow at Bear Trail Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Friday from 10-11AM.
