Mrs. Shelby Jean Hedrick

Mrs. Shelby Jean Easter Hedrick, age 73, of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Universal Health Care in King. Mrs. Hedrick was born in Surry County on October 23, 1942, to George Curtis and Leodie Hiatt Easter. She was retired from Proctor Silex and was a member of Calvary Assembly of God. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Shelia and Bernard Hernandez, and Linda and Randy Pruitt; grandchildren, Stacy Hedrick, Jasmine Jackson, James Pruitt, and Adam Pruitt; great grandchildren, Brooklynn Pruitt, Rylee Pruitt, Coeby Pruitt, Camden Jackson and Avery Pruitt; a great grandson on the way; and a brother and sister-in-law, Davis and Betty Easter. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hedrick was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hedrick; and a brother, G.C. Easter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jim Vaught and Judy Vaught. Burial will follow in The Peoples Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
