Mrs. Shirley Hardy Griner

Mrs. Shirley Ellen Hardy Griner, age 72 of Dobson passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Shirley was born November 12, 1942 in Yadkin County to the late Grover and Emma Pendry Hardy. She was a member of Welcome View Baptist Church, a homemaker and also worked as a nurse’s aid.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Jimmy Daniel Griner of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Billy Ray and Margie Mae Griner of Elkin; step granddaughter, Sabrina Marie Hillious of Elkin; sister, Pattie Rae Weston of East Bend; sister-in-law, Margaret Ridgeway of East Bend; a niece, Melanie and Steve Brown of East Bend; nephews, Carson and Charie Hardy of Myrtle Beach, SC, McCrae Hardy of Raleigh; Keith Weston of Carborro; several great nieces and nephews; and two special friends Doris Watson and Gladys Baugess.
There will be a graveside service conducted Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Welcome View Baptist Church Cemetery in Dobson with Dr. William Bryant Officiating.
