Mrs. Shirley Louise Sehen Lott

Mrs. Shirley Louise Sehen Lott, age 84 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 in Vinton. She was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on January 12, 1932 to the late Berton and Faye VanSutphen Sehen. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lott was preceded in death by her husband, Wallis Lott, Sr.; a son, Donnie Lott; a grandson, Richard Bedsworth, Jr.; two sisters, Agnes Marie Sehen and Eleandor Young; and four brothers, Harvey, Wesley, Elmer and John Sehen. She was a member of Meadows of Dan Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lott is survived by two daughters, Helen Parker (Gary) of Canton, North Carolina, Quilla Millirones (John) of Vinton; a son, Wallis Lott, Jr. (Leslie) of Vinton; a daughter-in-law, Janice Lott of Bassett; grandchildren, Chris Millirones (Anna), Kim Millirones (Kirk), Ben Lott (Layne), Sarah Lott (Josh), Sam Lott (Samara), Julia Ormandy (Tony), Joshua Lott (Kala) and Jacob Lott (Kay); great-grandchildren, Alexander Whitt, Paxton Whitt, Elijah Millirones, Noah Owens, Rylee Tyree, Collins Lott, Bennett Lott; a sister, Hazel Martin (Ray) of Bassett; a brother, Carl Sehen (Norma) of Meadows of Dan; sisters-in-law, June Shelor, Joan Sehen, Etheleen Sehen and Carol Thornton.
A memorial graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Knowles-Eden Cemetery with Pastor Shawn Carter and Pastor Michael Shockley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Rebuilding Fund, 2511 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Meadows of Dan, Virginia 24120 or to the Knowles-Eden Cemetery, c/o Carl Sehen, 2774 Bent Road, Meadows of Dan, Virginia 24120.
