Mrs. Sue Ellen Wheeler Hardy

Mrs. Sue Ellen Wheeler Hardy, age 65 of Stuart, Virginia, passed away November 20, 2015 at Pioneer Community Hospital of Patrick County. She was born on February 11, 1950 to the late Clyde Wheeler, Sr. and Agnes Haislip Wheeler. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hardy was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Wheeler, Jr., and two sisters, Rose Wheeler and Margaret Wheeler Epps. Mrs. Hardy was a devoted member of True Gospel Baptist Church in Stuart. She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, missionary, and a child of God.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by, her loving husband of 48 years, David L. Hardy, Sr. of the home, sons and daughters-in-law, David L. Hardy, Jr. and Melissa, of Stuart, and Samuel Raymond Hardy and Tonya of Maiden, NC; grandchildren, Chelsea Hardy Snow, Caitlyn Ann Hardy, Tristan Alexander Hardy, Samuel Raymond Hardy Jr., Sean Xavier Hardy, Brianna Hardy, Megan Hardy and Elainna Grace Hardy and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 23, 2015 at 2 p.m. at True Gospel Baptist Church in Stuart, with Pastors J.R. Shelton and David Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the church.
