Mrs. Sylvia M. Earles

Mrs. Sylvia Massey Earles, age 71 of Fieldale passed away Saturday at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on Aug. 22, 1938 to the late John Taylor Massey and Georgie Turner Massey. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara M. Walker, Thelma Massey; and three brothers, Hooker, Frank, and Norman Massey.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Carl V. Earles of the home; one daughter and son in law, Carla and David Jamison of Fairfax; one son, John Earles of Fieldale; three grandchildren, Julia and Josef Jamison, Luke Earles; one sister, Ruby Cockram of Bassett; and two brothers, Layman "Jack" Massey of Fieldale, and Wayne Massey of Bassett.
There will be a graveside service held Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Ross Harbour United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Dewayne Troutt officiating.
