Mrs. Sylvia Faye Shelton Money

Mrs. Sylvia Faye Shelton Money, age 79, of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, April 05, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Money was born in Surry County on July 3, 1938, to the late Bernie Ellis and Ruth Ella Key Shelton. She retired from NC Department of Transportation. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Doug Dixon; sisters and brother-in-law, Brenda Cooke, Rachel and Lonnie Jackson; brothers and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Debbie Shelton, and Earl and Lynn Shelton; several special nieces; a special friend, Stan Simmons; and other close friends, Dolores Rogers and Margie Cheek. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Money was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Levi (Bud) Money. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Dwight Sechrist officiating. There will not be any formal visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Yokefellow Co-Op Ministry, 215 Jones School Rd., Mt.
