Mrs. Teresa "Gail" Morris Hutchens

Mrs. Teresa "Gail" Morris Hutchens, 56, of Elkin passed away unexpectedly at the home on Monday, January 16, 2012. She was born in Surry County on December 22, 1955 to Ima Lee Cox Morris. Mrs. Hutchens was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Milford "Frank" Hutchens of the home; three daughters and a son-in-law, Cathy "Sally" Hutchens of Thurmond, Melissa Lynn and husband Matt Hodges of Elkin and Crystal Gail Akers of Dobson; three sons, William Hutchens of Marion, Jason Akers and Jacob Akers of Mount Airy; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six sisters and four brothers-in-law, Brenda Morris, Norma and Jeff Cockerham all of Mount Airy, Marie and Terry Fisher of Saginaw, Texas and Susie and Lavin Puckett, Cathy and Phillip Snow and Mary Fultz all of Mount Airy; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, David Morris, Billy and Ressie Morris of Mount Airy and Bobby and Gail Morris of Myra, Kentucky; and a large extended family. Her funeral service will be held at 3 pm Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dobson by Chaplin Stewart Roten and Elder Billy Morris with burial to follow in Central View Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at where her body will remain until time of the service. Burial will follow in Central View Baptist Church cemetery.
