Mrs. Thelma Carrie East Holt

Mrs. Thelma Carrie East Holt, age 78 of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 at Northern Hospital. Mrs. Holt was born in Patrick County, January 14, 1933 to William Henry and Elizabeth Hall East. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Timothy Cocke of Hillsville, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, James L and Debra Holt of Advance, NC; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Williams of Bristol, VA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert East of Archdale and Mr. and Mrs. Fred East of Claudville. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Holt; and a daughter, Mary Holt. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Robbie Vance. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy.
