Mrs. Trudie Beasley-Stalnaker, 82, devoted Christian mother and grandmother, of Dobson, passed away on Monday morning March 12, 2012, at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson after an extended illness at the Village Care of King, NC. She was born in Wayne County (Goldsboro, NC) on November 14, 1929 to the late Henry B. and Lanie C. Edmundson. Mrs. Beasley was retired from Proctor-Silex and she was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Mount Airy, NC.
Surviving are her two daughters and son-in-law; Etta B. Poindexter of Siloam, Linda B. Johnson and Jimmy Johnson of Mount Airy, one son; Joe Jr. and Jean Beasley of Kernersville; one sister, Doris Littleton of Fremont, NC; ten grandchildren; Garland, Jason, Brandon Poindexter, Jamie Johnson Stevens, Ashley Johnson Edwards, William, Ingrid, Erin, Megan, and Molly Beasley. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Beasley-Stalnaker was preceded in death by husband's; Joseph Beasley, Joseph Parrish and Burhl Stalnaker. She was also preceded in death by one son, Timothy Alan Beasley; one grandson, Christopher Shane Johnson; one sister, Dolly Johnson; and two brothers, Pete and Lindy Edmundson; and one son-in-law, G. Dale Poindexter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Skyline Memorial Gardens, Mount Airy, NC with Bro. Danny Poindexter and Bro. Larry Stone officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening March 13, 2012 at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, NC.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. The family would like to express special thanks to Village Care of King and the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home for meeting Trudie's needs. The family would like to thank Trudie's special friends; Linda Gravely, Nell White, and Linda Jessup; in addition to their church families, other friends and neighbors for their love, support and prayers during this difficult time.
