Mrs. Una Hudson Seal

Mrs. Una Jane Hudson Seal, age 84 of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Seal was born in Surry County on December 8, 1928 to Ed and Nora Creed Hudson. She was retired from Perry Mfg. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Mal Jarrell of Mt. Airy; Sandra and Gary Edwards of King; a son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Debbie Seal of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Adam Edwards and wife Nancy and Brandy Mauldin and husband Mark; great grandchildren, Anna Edwards, Brayden Edwards, Olivia Mauldin and Sarah Mauldin; a sister, Josephine Griffin of Rockwell and a beloved pet Sammy Ray Seal. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Seal was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ray Seal and sisters, Nonnie Monday, Betty Glass and Ila Hill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Kevin Wilson. Burial will follow in New Life Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice at 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Carol Casstevens and Jessica King of Hospice and Mrs. Seal's loving neighbors for the wonderful care, love and help during her illness.
