Mrs. Vera V. Ball

Mrs. Vera Dora Via Ball, age 83 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born in Patrick County on April 22, 1924 to the late Moses and Rosa Bell Wimbush Via. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ball was preceded in death by two brothers, James C. Via and Clinton A. Via. She was a member and Mother of the Church at Iron Belt Christian Church.
Mrs. Ball is survived by her husband, Roger A. Ball of the home; three sisters, Cornelia Gaines, Christine McAllister and Pauline Moore; and one brother, Cephus Via, all of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ball will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Junior Wimbush officiating. Burial will follow in the Iron Belt Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday at Moody Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of her sister, Pauline Moore.
