Mrs. Verda Conner Hylton

Mrs. Verda Conner Hylton, 88 of Woolwine, passed away Saturday evening at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center. She was born January 18, 1921 in Patrick County to the late Everette and Effie Dalton Conner. Mrs. Hylton was a member of Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church for over Fifty years and worked for J.P. Stevens for Twenty years. Other than her parents, Mrs. Hylton was preceded in death by her husband; Homer Hylton; Two sisters; Myrtle Weddle and Maggie Handy and three brothers, Vance, Marvin and Lois Conner.
Surviving Mrs. Hylton is a daughter; Everine Davis of Woolwine; Two sons and daughters-in-law, Waco and Lillie Hylton of Woolwine and Waitman and Brenda Hylton of Stuart; Seven Grandchildren, Patricia Lawson, Michael Davis, Lisa Hunt, Joni Martin, Rhonda Hylton, Bradley Hylton and Robby Hylton; Seven Great Grandchildren; Two Great Great Grandchildren; and a sister; Veva C. Scott of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hylton will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Donnie Conner and Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will be at Jacks Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
