Mrs. Verlene Coe Moore

Mrs. Verlene Coe Moore, age 77 of Dobson, North Carolina a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all passed away on Wednesday morning August 29, 2012, at her home. She was born in Guilford County on November 24, 1934 to the late Cornealius Beamer "Neal" Coe and the late Amy Chandler Coe, in addition to her parents she was preceded by a brother Arnold Coe. She was a member of Rockford Baptist Church and was a homemaker, worked on the family farm, and loved working in her flowers, garden and mowing her yard.. Surviving are her husband Al S. Moore of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law Teresa and Bill Haymore of Dobson, Sharon and Bailey Elmore of Dobson; one son Brent Moore and special friend Sharon Gates of Dobson; seven grandchildren Chad and Laura Moore, Scott Moore, Carrie Moore Wilmoth, Lance Haymore, Shane Oakley and special friend Kaitlynn Coake, Kaylin Haymore, Luke Haymore; by three great grandchildren Avery Wilmoth, Ayden Wilmoth, and Callie Moore; by two sisters and brother-in-law Arlene "Crickett" Scott, and Jernell and Bill Fletcher all of East Bend, NC; special friends Catherine Hutchens, and Lorene Moore. Funeral services will be held Friday morning August 31, 2012, 11:00 A.M. at Rockford Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Lanny Atkins, Rev. Mitchell Robertson and Rev. Danny Culler will conduct the funeral services. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior the service at the church. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 401 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Moore Family.
