Mrs. Verlie Snow Bryant

Mrs. Verlie Snow Bryant, age 81 of Elkin a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Monday morning March 17, 2008 at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born in Surry County on October 17, 1926 to the late Columbus Pascal Snow and the late Mildred Malinda Poindexter Snow.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Bryant Sr. and by five sisters and four brothers. She was a member of Welcome View Baptist Church and was a home maker. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law Linda and Thomas Mecham of Lillington, NC; by three sons and daughters-in-law
Lloyd Jr. and Doris Bryant of State Road, NC, Donald Ray Bryant of Elkin, Ronald Gray and Helen Bryant of Mt. Airy; by five grandchildren Jason Bryant, Seth Bryant, Sally Bryant-Whitaker, Tommy Mecham Jr.,and Tony Mecham; by a step granddaughter Stephane Gates; six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday March 19, 2008 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson with burial to follow in the Welcome View Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Tucker and Rev. Ricky Johnson will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM before the service and at other times at Mrs. Bryant's home on Newbern Ln. Elkin, NC 28621,
