Mrs. Vernis Virginia O’Neal Marsh

Mrs. Vernis Virginia O’Neal Marsh, age 85, of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Marsh was born in Surry County on May 24, 1932, to Ed and Lula Forest O’Neal. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. Among the many who will always cherish her memory are a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ralph Beck; grandchildren, Jeffrey Beck and wife Stephanie, Jason Beck and wife Keenia; six great grandchildren, Colby Young, Spencer Beck, Isabella Beck, Arianna Beck, Ashley Todd, Clayton Todd; a sister-in-law, Virginia Moore and husband Don. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by her husband, Loui Clifford Marsh. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by Rev. Mark Brown and Rev. Eric Smith. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. The family request that in Lieu of flowers memorial be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC. 27030 or to Central Continuing Care Activity Department, 1287 Newsome St, Mt Airy, NC 27030.
