Mrs. Viola Craig Voorhees

Mrs. Viola Craig Voorhees, age 91, of Patrick Springs passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection. She was born in Patrick County on February 2, 1927 to the late Flem Davis Craig and Queenie Hancock Craig. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Lera C. Washburn, Vivian C. Ratliff, Hazel C. Wright; one brother, Neil Craig; and a step-daughter, Bobbi Stevens. Mrs. Voorhees was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Peter Voorhees of the home; three step-daughters, Suzanne Livingston of Topsail Beach, NC, Karen Simonds of New York, Patricia Voorhees of New York; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Clarence and Evelyn Craig of Patrick Springs, Wayne Craig of Patrick Springs; eight nieces; and seven nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
